M O R E I N F OAlmost any fabric can be used for a corset. This is because I back all my corsets in a fabric called Coutil. Coutil is the classic corset fabric, it is a densely woven, sturdy fabric, that has almost no stretch in either direction. Unlike duck or muslin, coutil does not stretch much over time, making the corsets very durable and strong. Over the coutil layer, I place a fashion fabric. That can be a brocade, satin, silk, or a fetish material, like PVC or leather. Optionally, the inside can be lined, making it a three layer corset. I use heavy duty busks, 2" wide in total, or spoon busks. Underbusks, either single, or double width, are possible, and are part of the standard waist training corsets. Additionally, diagonal front stiffenings can be built into any underbust model. |
